This is an excellent basic double curtain rod set in an appealing color. The simplicity of the design also makes it versatile. The rods and brackets feel sturdy, and pins in the brackets keep rods from sliding around when opening and closing curtains. The one drawback to this set is that it arrives incomplete. The guide shows that the set includes 6 pieces, with each rod having 2 end pieces and 1 middle piece. However, the box comes with just 1 end piece and 1 middle piece for each rod. In fact, the box is not big enough to accommodate the full set. I had to request a replacement, and when it arrived, the box was the same size, and it, too, was missing 1 end piece for each rod. I only got a full set by holding onto the original set until I received the replacement and combining the two sets, then sending back the rest of the set.Without the second end piece for each rod, the rods are really only usable for a 36" width. The smaller diameter of the middle pieces would make the rod uneven if using it as an end piece. Even if using the middle rod as an end piece, the rod is not capable of supporting curtains at more than 58" width rather than the 62" width this product is supposed to accommodate, and it would be weak at that width.I used two of these curtain rods along with Amazon Basics 1-Inch Curtain Rod with Round Finials andSUZALD Curtain Rod Corner Connector Heavy Duty Hinged Elbow Connector for 1 Inch Rod Elbow Connector for Bay Window Curtain Rods to create hardware that was suitable for a bay window area in my master. Installation was easy - I didn't even read the directions. Looks like a quality product!Yay!:* Looks good* Fairly sturdy* Good instructions* Easy curtain replacement in the futureBoo!:* Sad, sad wall anchors* Not quite enough room for a drill to put in the top screw. If I was installing this again, I'd probably try to put the pilot hole in at a bit of an angle (straight in and up, so that when screwed in, the head of the screw would lower on the wall than the point inside it) and see if that gave me enough room to not be banging curlicues and stripping screw heads.I'm using extended to 130" and am hanging on the rear 4 medium weight 82" insulated drapes and on the front rod a back drop for photo/video work. Three segments front and rear make for a strong medium weigh rod set that is easy to adjust. The brackets look nice and are sufficient to hold the rods. The segment that attaches to the wall is strong and rigid due to the stamping but it flattens at the 90 degree bend to the part that holds the rod. It is a bit of a weak spot that limits the set to just medium duty. For me that is not an issue but if you're looking to use heavy drapes it may not be suitable, It's rated at 22lbs so keep that in mind. These curtain rods are holding up well so far. I like their color and simplicity.I have two blackout curtains on one rod and one curtain on the other rod. So 3 curtains total. They are all able to roll well on the rods, even through they all have those big hoops on them. The part where the curtains extend do have a small bump that one has to overcome when closing the curtains, but its not bad. A good tug does the job fine.Double curtain rods is the way to go. Much more flexibility in control of interior lighting and comfort. The curtain rods are fairly easy to install... 10 - 15 minutes with an electric drill. Note: They come with drywall screws - if you are drilling into wood, order some wood screws - else it will not be a secure fit. The rod is easily adjustable and can carry a decent amount of weight with the 3 curtain rod holders that come with it. It did take about a month to arrive - I guess backordered from China or something.Basic functional curtain rods, sturdy, do not bend in the middle on my 110” window (only used 2 sets of brackets, one on each side, did not install a bracket in the middle). My set came without finials at all. I realized that too late. Had to buy separately.I re did a room. I used black out curtains on the inner most and light weight white kitchen style curtains on the outermost (closest to window). I have brick walls so I had to get other supplies not provided in the kit. I expected to do this so it is nothing against the product. The hold the weight perfectly. They fit my window (make sure to measure your window before buying). They do not bend in the center but I did not over extent the rods.So I was looking for a Curtain Pole which had flat ends as I was fitting it close to both ends of the wall. Decided to go with this Amazon basics one as it was well priced and looked great. I read all the reviews but couldn’t see if it was plastic or metal but I’m happy to say it turned out to be METAL when it arrive which is great! The brackets are also metal too, just the end caps are plastic. It’s a very study and sleek looking product, not like the cheap plastics ones. Has 3 mounting brackets so very strong once up. I also love that you can easily adjust the brackets back and forward to set the distance you want the pole to sit from the wall! Never seen this before and this is easily achieved by loosening the top screw on the bracket and adjusting the distance accordingly, very clearly designed by amazon! Great value for money!I was browsing around for double curtain rods that weren't expensive and it was either this set or a set from IKEA. I'm glad I decided to give these set a go as they were the cheapest one that I found, is extendable, good quality and sturdy enough to hold a set of privacy curtains and blackout curtains. Easy to install and really long that I only needed to use 2 rods out of 3, and I have wide balcony doors! The only thing I would note is that, I have to tug the curtain to get it over the bit where the 2 rods connect, which can sometimes loosen the screw that keeps the rod in place and stop it from moving around. Not a big deal as I can tighten the screw if the rod does slide. For the price, I give 5 stars ?This pole is perfect! My window is 2.4m wide and these poles were more than long enough to cover with 10 inches either side, you can obviously see where the middle pole extends though, see pics. (ignore the old nets!!)*2 years later*It’s started to crumble on the middle where the join is for the poor to extend, not sure if it was the heat or what but now the curtains keep getting stuck on the join so we’ve had to replace them unfortunatelyThe poles and brackets are very good, but the system for extending does not work well. The 3rd pole which goes between the 2 thicker ones, has absolutely no grip and runs freely in them. As long as you are careful when opening and closing, it should be fine, but I imagine that there could be an accident, if you don't check regularly.I have another extendable curtain pole (Different make) which works perfectly thanks to a better designed piece of plastic which thightens the poles toghether when you twist them, the plastic bit in this model is simply too wide for the small pole to fit tightly in it.I've bought two of these now and am suitably impressed. They are sturdy, they look good, really easy to install and the lip where the pole extends is small enough for the curtains to move across with no major effort. The instructions are for having the curtain pole out and across the whole window where I have opted to install it within the window- the fixings still work perfectly and now all the heat from my radiators doesn't get trapped the wrong side of the curtains!
