It took quite a bit to get the suction cups to really stick- one side would unstick, we’d reapply, things would unstick, we’d reapply. We ended up moving it to a different section of the shower, where it fell down at about 2 am, waking me from a dead sleep. That next reapply was a forceful one, and it finally seems to have stuck. It looks nice, does the job, but I don’t apply a lot of pressure to it (for example, if I want to squirt from a bottle with a push down squirt top, I take it out of the caddy to do so to prevent accidentally losing suction). Overall, it’s not a bad product, I just wish it stuck better to begin with.I chose these based on the look and overall somehow they have positive number of stars, but Unfortunately somehow, the reviews tell a different story. The suction cups DO NOT WORK. It’s a brilliant design, they incorporated a red line on the plungers so If you ever do see red you can push them in again to reestablish a seal before they fall. I have smooth tiles in my bath enclosure and spent hours scrubbing, spraying with soap scum remover and using magic erasers. The tiles are legit cleaner than they were when they were installed. And still the suction cups won’t stay stuck. First time I left them to hang over night and bam, huge racket an hour later when it fell into the tub. More cleaning and I tried again. Same result. Wondering if it was the weight and thinking maybe I could get it to cure over night, I stuck the suction cups where they needed to go and left the rack off. Same result. Frustrated, I stuck the suction cups to a mirror (absolutely smooth), and they fell off by the next morning. I ended up buying some cheap $0.99 suction cup hooks from the dollar store and I can’t hardly get them to pull off the same tile. Sadly, I bought the whole set and they came in over several days, I’ve tried every piece and all same result. Now that they’ve all spent several days in my shower and I’ve lost the original packaging, I’m certain I’ll not be able to return them in “new unused condition,” so maybe I can at least save some of you the trouble.I found that one of them wouldn't stick when I followed the directions - I couldn't get the red ring to disappear, per the directions, or it would but gradually reappeared. But when I moistened it (not to be too gross, but I licked it!), then they stuck great (cuz I did both the same way)!Suction cups were not sticking to the shower- nothing was in it! I told my husband to send it back. He ended up adding it to the end of our metal pantry and removed the suctions. This product is exactly what I was looking for in a shower shelf. I have been using this product for months now and it has not moved an inch from where I installed it! The suction is powerful and can hold more weight than you could load it up with. Very satisfied with this item.fits right in with my decorActually a very sturdy and reliable product, I was impressed.Has been in my shower for about 3 months and has not moved off the shower wall at all. Looks good and holds 3 sets of shampoo & conditioner bottles. Purchased a 2nd one for upstairs bath.I have seen the great reviews and don't doubt them at all. However, my experience is that I couldn't get these to stick to my PVC panels in my shower. I had to resort to sticking one suction cup on my shower screen as I got good adhesion on the glass. However, I wanted them in the other corner, but couldn't get them to stick. You can even see in the photo that some red is showing in the suction cup. This means it isn't totally attached, but on glass, this is sturdy enough. That said, I don't intend putting anything heavy in them. They may work really well on tiles etc, but not on PVC. I have also bought a shaving mirror with a similar suction method and this is working great on the PVC.I have seen the great reviews and don't doubt them at all. Extremely useful.Black finish seems solid and sturdy so no more rusting chrome after a year.Allows full drying of soap between use, less waste. The suction is"press button" activated, rather than using one's own weight to push as hard as possible onto the wall. This made installation and stability easy.Super fast delivery and I couldn’t be more made up! This is a great solution to any bathroom and is surprisingly bigger than expected in a good way, so now I can fit everything in with room to spare.Make sure the suction cups are on properly, push the button down.Followed all the instructions but keeps falling and has the potential to damage the shower tray. I have used suction cups before in the shower. Cheaper non Amazon ones and they worked fine. Not impressed as these Amazom ones were double the price.
