We never have any issues with this toner.Cartridges are not knock-offs this is the real deal, work great, last well.It's what you would expect from brother productsMy prints a perfect. I get a "toner low" message but it prints perfect printsI haven't needed to install this latest toner cartridge yet, but I expect it to last as long as the previous one.I did not notice where the previous one was made, and I used the carton in which it came to ship back the old one for recycling; I couldn't find the information on the cartridge itself either. This one is made in Vietnam.Update: Now that I have removed the toner cartridge from the package to install it, I see some slight differences from the earlier one -- and *perhaps* not refillable without cutting holes in it; I have not refilled any cartridges so far, but I am thinking of trying it.this doesn't look the same as the picture at all. It damaged my printer and now I have to buy a new one. I absolutely don't recommend, it leaves black dust everywhere in the system and black smudges on the pages. I cleaned the drum unit several times to fix it, and it kept coming back, until there's nothing more you can do.Brother printers are durable and very long lasting, so in order to ensure that longevity I only use genuine Brother toner, as opposed to a third party offering.Total disappointment with this. Almost right away started getting spots all over pages and has become worse and worse over time. Pulled out toner cartridge and found heaps of toner everywhere. Blew it all out and still getting a mess of specs all over pages. Will throw out and try again with a low-yield unit from Staples.Called Brother as the print quality was very poor. Upon checking the tonner serial number, Brother office said the the tonner is old (quite few years) and this caused poor printing. I'm surprised that Amazon allows such old (and probably expired) product to be sold.It works great! Brand new at a great price. Usually pick these up at staples Canada for a lot more. Will continue to buy it here.So glad! Brother laser printers are the way to go. Getting this ink deal just made it that much better.
