This looks like a book on a shelf but the title is clearly not a real book. It says dictionary not “Websters dictionary” no maker or authors on spine or cover. You might notice that on a shelf.I work at an office and I know someone had been snooping around the desks and cubes. Nothing major stolen just coffee pods I like from home. Made me a little feel violated because they weren’t exactly sitting on top of stuff in my cabinets. They had to dig.I got a little paranoid but I don’t want to lock all my cube up all the time. I am locking up my employee information/ personnel bills, and a little extra cash I keep around for emergencies. Someone can just pick it up and take it but hopefully it will stop casual snooping. If it is in a bookshelf it does look like a book but not when it is laying out because the “paper pages” are clearly shiny plastic.The thing is the pages are REALLY white. Almost glossy even. Which isn't normal for paper...It would be a lot more realistic is it wasn't so new looking. I would darken the white paper. It's too white. It looks new. Which would actually attract the eye making someone pick it up. However, if you hid it just by the side only, it would blend in great.If they just considered trying to make the pages look used instead of brand new, it would blend in betterNeeded a gift for a friend who is a teacher. Most classrooms have a lockable cabinet or desk drawer, but this little book adds another layer of protection. In with the other textbooks, it fits perfectly. Now he can keep the candy he doesn’t want to share with coworkers or students completely hidden.I love it I bought it to keep money off my bank account because when I know I have money i waste it all and this lilttle buddy keeps my money save and soundIts not the most sturdy, but looks realIt was perfect to journal in and a key to lock it which gave me privacy and comfortI ordered this safe for a nursing home resident and she really loved it and it keeps her items safe in her room. I will definitely order again.Bought this and it works great. You get two keys. Great space for personal things. You can fit a small or medium sized journal (3.5 x 5.5) in here and still some space for more things. It’s sturdy. The outside may wear over time from open and closing but so far I haven’t had any problems. Blends in well with other books around it. まあまあの品で、特に粗悪品という印象もないので星4にしましたが、残念ながらそのままでは「隠し金庫」としては使えません。 まず、背表紙の部分がこんなにカクカクした辞書を、私は見たことがありません（分厚い書籍であるほど、背表紙は丸くなっているのが通常） あと、ページの上部がここまでプラスチック丸出し（ほこりも汚れもないピカピカ）だと、カムフラージュにはなりません。 そういうわけで、かなり手を加えて、なんとかしました（その結果が、2枚の画像です） 使ったのは、紅茶、コーヒー、プラモデル用のアクリル塗料、エナメル塗料、ミリタリーモデル用ブラシ、革靴用のワックスです。それに、硬いブラシによるダメージングを背表紙上下左右に施した感じです。 幸い、表面は皮ではなくて紙製（おそらく水性塗料による着色）のため、ダメージ感は容易に出せます。ただ、カクカクした形は変わりませんので、起き場所等については検討が必要と思われます。 また蛇足ですが、広辞苑程度の辞書を持っていないご家庭にはおすすめしません。日本人家庭において、日本語辞典よりも大きな英語辞典が本棚にあるのはあまりに不自然なので。J’ai trouvé l’idée de ce coffret caché dans un livre géniale. Je recommande à qui veut cacher quelques papiers important, de l’argent ou de petits objetsThe "paper" was too white and plastic looking so I used masking tape (which is actual real paper) to make it look like real paper. I then "roughed-up" the paper with a dirty nail-file to make it look like it was sitting on a bookshelf for a century. I also "roughed-up" the too-clean covers.It now looks like a proper old book which has survived both World Wars....and the Boer War.It looks like a real book from 6 inches away now.
