The Mat arrived quickly and seems to do the job but I’m not too sure how it will hold up over time. It’s made of a foam type material and rather thin in my opinion. It’s comparable to other affordable mats I’ve seen. I purchased it to help protect a newly install wood style floor from the exercise equipment in that room. So far it looks like it will do the job but only time will tell if it will wear out with use. The mat stays in place. One thing so far that I’m not liking is that the last foot or two of the mat still shows signs of rolling and does not completely stay flat. I tried to roll it the opposite direction than it came rolled to reduce the look of it but that only reduced it. Perhaps over time it will flatten out completely. I may also just cut off that section as it’s beyond the equipment feet anyways and really serving no purpose but a trip hazard. I’d say this mat is best for use under stationary equipment that will not be moving around a lot. Another thing was that one of the two mats I ordered had a slight deformity in one spot on the edge of the mat so it’s not consistently perfectly straight. This is no deal breaker by any means and barely noticeable. I do not personally think this mat would be good for doing exercises directly on it especially with shoes. It’s not very thick so probably not good for laying down exercise. If you normally exercise directly on hard wood then this is a step up, but I wouldn’t buy this specifically to lay on. I personally think this is just best to be used to protect hard wood or hard wood like flooring from equipment. I bought one for my Elliptical and one for my Bowflex Revolution. I also plan to occasionally check under the equipment feet to make sure it’s not wearing through over time and scratching my floors. It also seems to like dusty shoe prints but does wipe clean pretty easily with a wet rag.
