I recently remembered I had a set of "sweatshirt" fabric sheets back in college. I decided to try some again but didn't want to spend much. These are pretty great. I wouldn't say there's anything special about them, but they do have that feel. The are soft, stretchy, and fit perfect. They feel like you're cozied up in your favorite t-shirt. They do not get any hotter or colder than normal cotton sheets... since, well, they're cotton. They just feel soft rather than smoother.I've only had them about a week so I can't speak to their durability... but I saw some other reviews questioning that.... I got a queen set for $32. If they start to pill badly, rip/tear, stretch or something... they can just be replaced.Other concerns were about matching/getting more pillowcases... I'm not sure you'd want to use Jersey pillowcases anyway. The point is to mimic a soft t-shirt, who wraps a t-shirt around their head? just use your normal pillowcase.
